Soundtrack for the Series ‘Grænser’ by Jonas Risvig
In November 2019, I collaborated with the award-winning film director Jonas Risvig to create the soundtrack for his YouTube series ‘Grænser.’ Drawing inspiration from his previous work, which I thoroughly studied, I meticulously tailored the soundtrack to align with Risvig’s artistic vision. My compositions have been featured across seasons 1, 2, and 3 of the series.”
Season 1 aired January 1st 2021
I aimed to craft an atmospheric, peaceful, and nostalgic sound, with a focus on accentuating and amplifying the emotions of the story. Throughout the process of creating the soundtrack, I drew from my background as a musician.
My intention was to achieve textures that felt organic and vibrant. I opted to predominantly record real instruments and abstain from electronic manipulation.
I contributed to the series with 5 original scores, some of which featured up to 3 variations, resulting in a consistent sonic landscape throughout the viewing experience. Despite the tight production schedule, I managed to create the 5 scores within a week. The opportunity to work on ‘Grænser’ provided me with invaluable experience that I will apply to enhance my future endeavors
